Here’s some great links we came across in the past week:
- Kaitlyn at Abortion Gang calls out the Chicago Tribune for poor coverage of race and abortion issues.
- The Nation looks at conservatives’ attempts to convince black people that unions are bad for them.
- Men Advocating Responsible Conduct have come out with a new PSA – “Don’t Rape Her” that tries to put the onus on attackers to not rape, rather than women to change their dress/behaviour.
- And just a reminder you can find my posts at Bitch Magazine blogs here. This past week I interviewed the podcasters from HowStuffWorks.com’s Stuff Mom Never Told You, suggested tips for making your next D&D campaign more feminist, and reviewed some pretty ridiculous PC Games for Girls.
- Angela Marie MacDougall of Battered Women’s Support Services talked to the Georgia Straight about SlutWalk Vancouver this past weekend and positive changes the Vancouver Police are trying to make.
- Annamarya at The Daily Femme looks at the response by human rights organizations and activists to a new study on the shocking rates of rape of women in the Congo.
- Roseanne Barr in New York Magazine. It’s a must-read piece on Roseanne, sexism, and TV today.
